Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about keeping your pathways clear and safe.
How do HeatTrak mats work?
HeatTrak mats are engineered with specialized heating elements sandwiched between two layers of heavy-duty rubber. When plugged into a standard outlet, they generate enough heat to melt snow at a rate of two inches per hour.
Can I leave the mats outside all winter?
Yes, our mats are designed to endure harsh winter conditions. For the best performance, we recommend keeping them plugged in throughout the season or using a remote control to turn them on before snow begins to fall.
Are the mats safe to use on wood or composite decks?
Absolutely. HeatTrak mats are safe for all surfaces, including wood, concrete, asphalt, and stone. They do not get hot enough to damage your deck or create a fire hazard.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product in its original condition for a full refund, excluding shipping costs.
How many mats can I connect to a single outlet?
You can connect multiple mats together using our built-in watertight connectors. However, the total amperage must not exceed 15 amps on a single circuit. Please consult our sizing guide for specific configurations.
Do you offer a warranty on your products?
Yes, all HeatTrak products come with a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty that covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
